About me

Exploring art making is my passion.

I always wanted to paint, and only gave it dedicated time after retirement. Since then, I have not looked back! Working from my garden studio almost every day here in Kirkcaldy, Fife, Scotland, I have been making a new, different artistic way of life for myself.

I first started selling for Children in Need and gathered supporters from there, which led to social media connections with others. Then I started selling online and in local art and craft fairs, and most importantly building and opening my studio on a regular basis. This year I have expanded the number of Art and Craft Fairs and dipped my toe in the water of Arts Festivals with Aberdour Arts Festival Art Exhibition-a delightful experience. I am still learning the intricate world of running my own website.

My contemporary style has developed from realism to an experimental semi and full abstraction with my main subjects being landscapes, flowers and abstracts. My customers love the colours in my work, enjoy the range of subjects and the movement in style.

Some collect my art for home, office, and garden spaces. Others appreciate the Scottish influence, while some enjoy the abstract quirkiness. Each year, I complete 100 Days of Art, exploring various techniques and mediums. My current project is 'Arty abstracts' for the '100 Days Project'.
