About me
My passion lies in exploring the world of art making.
I've always had a desire to paint but only committed to it fully after retiring. Since embracing this journey, there’s been no looking back! Working from my garden studio almost daily in Kirkcaldy, Fife, Scotland, I’ve cultivated a unique artistic lifestyle for myself.
I began my journey selling pieces for Children in Need, which helped me gather supporters and connect with others via social media. This eventually led to selling my work online and participating in local art and craft fairs. Most importantly, I’ve dedicated myself to regularly opening my studio to the public. I’ve increased my involvement in Art and Craft Fairs and am a regular exhibitor at the Aberdour Arts Festival Art Exhibition, which is a wonderful experience. Additionally, I’m an active member of the Central Fife Artists Collective, recently showcasing my work at Adam Smith Theatre and participating in the annual Central Fife Open Studios. I’m also navigating the complexities of managing my own website.
My contemporary style has evolved from realism to a blend of experimental semi and full abstraction, with my primary focus on landscapes, flowers, and abstract forms. My customers are drawn to the vibrant colors in my work, the diverse subjects, and the dynamic movement of my style.
Many choose to collect my art for their home, office, and garden spaces. Some are captivated by the Scottish influence, while others delight in the abstract quirkiness. Each year, I embark on a journey of creativity with 100 Days of Art, experimenting with diverse techniques and mediums. My latest project is 'Arty Oils.'
